Artist Statement

Performing and visual arts have always been my passion. I enjoyed both while pursuing a professional career with the federal government and as President of a government contracting firm. I have enjoyed creating in a variety of mediums such as water and oil painting, mosaics, beading and fused glass, but am particularly drawn to jewelry and mixed media. Travel throughout the United States and Europe and the environment have been my inspiration. As an award-winning artists, during the last ten years, my work has been shown at the Saint Johns Council on Aging, the Saint Johns Cultural Council, the Emil Maestro Music Association, the Saint Augustine Art Association, a gallery on Aviles Street, the Center for Spiritual Living and the Annapolis Arts and Crafts Festival. In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, I also hold a Certification in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts and a Certification in Connoisseurship in Fine and Decorative Arts from The George Washington University Center for Career Education.
